Just arrived at 1940, replacement aircraft was old first, grubby and falling apart. Moving map did not work, lifejacket holder completely broken, falling away on side of seat. Crew very embarrassed, cue jokes about superglue etc. crew were superb though and even though they did not know what food was onboard as it was a last minute change rustled up two perfectly adequate meals. Due to inability to know when aircraft was due to leave they booked me to LHR and somehow messed up the DME connection, which meant 30 minutes in T5 getting the ticket uncancelled/reinstated and now fly tomorrow arriving 24 hours late. Girlfriend already in Kiev by then, so thats a bit messed up, but as she is crew, she is very understanding over the entire mess up... More understanding than me to be honest.
Own paid hotel again, but BA promising to reimburse both and give the 600 euro delay money, which apparently is even more if spent on BA which it will be
NF to Moscow tomorrow, with a good breakfast so hey ho onwards and upwards.
Time foe a moan-a-gram to BA detailing the catalogue of problems over last few months and an Avios boost...
