I have only stayed at the LM as well and echo everyone else's comments. It all comes down to what your budget is as the Westin is a lot pricier. That being said, for the price you are getting a superb location.

The LM was still walkable to most attractions for us, but you definitely didn't have that feeling of Paris/French culture in the surrounding neighborhoods around the hotel as you would have at the Westin.
