However, when booking a flight on Iberia using Iberia Plus Avios, there is no fuel surcharge added by Iberia. Therefore, when booking "free" flights on Iberia, its always best to book using Iberia Plus avios. (if you happen to have the required miles in your BAEC account, this means you should "combine my avios" and move them to IB+ to make a redemption on IB)

What I found out:
Required BAEC avios: 7500.
Required IB+ avios: 7500.
Required money on top of BAEC avios : 17,50 €.
Required money on top of IB+ : 29,28 €.
End point:
I just burned my BA avios but I'm not very familiar how to collect IB+ avios.
On that same rout, on a cheap eco flight, IB operated, on an accrual point of view you get 500 IB+ avios or 700+ BAEC avios.
