That got me thinking…

I need about 100 tier points this year to retain my status.

Rather than taking a couple of short flights in CE, could I take 2 seats (both for me) on 1 flight and expect to receive double Avios and TPs?

Has anyone tried this? Can you check in more than once on the same plane for multiple seats or do you need a medical reason to do so?

Would you have to pay all the taxes twice (I am assuming the fuel surcharges are levied per seat)?

…. and would it be pushing it too far to book seats in different cabins to get exactly the right amount of points… ?

Why not just book WT+, if its actually a worry?
