I will be flying on Cathay Pacific from California to Asia and they are promoting the premium economy class, at a significant price increase.

In the past I have always been able to get an exit row seat in economy - nobody in front of me.

In comparing the two classes, it seems to me that exit row in economy is much better than premium economy (non exit row). While the seats may be a bit wider in premium economy, that is about it. I cannot see any other advantages (the food is mostly all bad to me)

Any thoughts on which is better?
