Not only is the seat narrow, I find the mini-bar to be equally useless feature. I only wish if EK adopted the CX style seating to provide more space and storage for its business class product.
The service delivery is also miles behind that of CX and SQ. When I requested for Earl Grey Tea, it never came. The whole service was patchy right from the start.
Whilst I prefer EK over TG on this sector, this is all the advantage EK has. Next time, I might even back track to HKG to go to Middle East on CX or via SIN on SQ.
EK, please get your act together!
This hasn't been my experience at all, and this coming from one that prefers the EK 777 over the 380.
I am an American, and certainly not a tiny one, and I find there to be plenty of width in the A380 J seat. What is lacking width is the CX planes with the herringbone J seats, or the EK A330/A340 in J.
Service is pretty much what I expect in a J cabin that has 76 seats, and yet another reason I prefer the 777 in both F and J. Although, the service on the 380 in J has always been OK for me, nobody has yet forgotten to bring me something.
