Actually, though, if you and your SO are open to each getting a Hyatt visa card, with some minimal spending you'll each get two free nights at any Hyatt in the world, including the fantastic Park Hyatt Vendome in Paris, which is not far from the Westin. Without knocking the Westin at all, the Hyatt is worth considering...though I do realize you don't care much about the hotel being "nice."
Regardless, Paris is the most romantic city in the world (and London is great too, though in a different way). Have a wonderful time!
