To OP, if the art is pretty valuable (whether monetary or sentimental) I would put it in a wooden crate and ship it. Insurance would be ideal.

Really? How much does it cost to have them shipped? My clubs are about $4000, but I always check them in when traveling.

I once had a Cleveland Tour Action 588 54 deg wedge stolen on AA and I was furious because Cleveland no longer makes TourAction wedges and I hate the CG wedges... Too fat at the bottom and sends the ball flying way too high at the expense of distance, trajectory control, and consistent back spin control. I don't play that much nowadays, so I have not bothered at looking for new wedges....
