Introduction Hotel entrance with the bar to the rightI stayed 4 nights in Rocco Forte Hotel Savoy in the end of October. Location The location in convenient in the centre of Florence next to Piazza della Repubblica. Service Personally I liked the hotel; it is a small hotel and it has a personalized and friendly service. It has a relaxed atmosphere, and I also liked the design both in the common areas as well in the rooms. I used the concierge service to get tickets to the Uffizi gallery to skip the long queues. Room If you get a window table or sit outside, it is also a good place to do some people watching while enjoying your chianti. The rooms is a bit small. I also prefer to have shower and bathtub separate, which was not the case in my room. Dining I also had breakfast once and some wine and a light meal in the bar/restaurant twice. The food and wine was fine. Gym For those of you who, like me, like to do some exercise while traveling the hotel has a fitness room. However it was rather small and not too well equipped. Overall

Since this was my first trip to Florence, I have no comparision to the other hotels mentioned in the opening post by DavidO. I only walked by the St. Regis and Westin.
