That's a pretty good location. It's in Myeongdong so there's a bunch of things to see/do around there. I think your hotel is within walking distance to one of the N Seoul Tower/Namsan entrances. You should go up there at night if you like views of the city. If you get on Line 4 and go to Hoehyeon station, there's a shopping area called Namdaemun market. You can buy a variety of stuff in this place, though a good chunk of the area caters to Japanese/Chinese tourists. Eating here is fine, but I would find a place in the smaller alleys rather than the main streets.
