The words "V fare basis" might mean that these corporate fares book into V as upgrade inventory, not A or P. This could explain why you didn't automatically get the upgrade. There was a thread here recently about trying to understand V fares, which seemed to be some special corporate designation.

V" is a column header (
Vendor). It has nothing to do with the
V Class whatsoever -- with correct formatting, the display should similar to the following:
