I've had a 6-inch plate and 13 screws in my left ankle/tibia for 5 years now. Been through WTMDs at LHR, CDG, FLO, PSA, BCN, SLC, JFK, LAX, IAH, HNL, SNA, ATL, DFW, NBO, YYC, YVR, and a few others since I've had the surgery/repair. I have never had a "beep" for my hardware.
