thank you for your replies. Very appreciated. I will look into Swiss Air though I didn't see it as an option for my dates. Maybe their ff seats aren't available using UAL miles yet ? It's unacceptable to subject anyone in Biz class to a middle seat IMO. Spouse has back issues so a layflat/non angled seat is a must.
