Yes! The point of my post was that using a meeting room at, say an AC (which is airside), is probably too much of a pain the a_s, especially since the OP was looking for a meeting room which is land side--hence I also included 3 motels/hotels nearby (in post #4).
If everyone already is at JFK, or will be arriving at or departing from JFK, I would find it more convenient to clear security at T8 and use the AC than have to get to and back from an area hotel. YMMV.
