Flew LAX-SEA R/T in First on VX using FC Miles recently. First I found award availability on Award Nexus (www.awardnexus.com). Then I had to book by phone with Flying Club. Zero tax or supplement to pay. The telephone agent seemed surprised but was happy to go with what her computer said. Received VS e-ticket and VS Reference by email. The VS reference differs from VX reference numbers; so would not work on Virgin America website. I called Virgin America for seat requests.

As an aside. The VX First seat seems a bit too firm for real comfort. You don't sink into it at all: rather you sit or lie on top of it. Nevertheless, it's a nice way to fly domestic in North America. Food is a bit funky. IFE is better than most US domestics.
