My friend current has the miles like this.
Current miles:17952
Will travel TPE-LAX later this month. After this, total Miles:24726
Miles expiring in 2013/10/31:11178
What options do I have with the miles.
My friend is based in LA area and has no plan to travel in next 12 month.

By looking at the website, it looks to me that my best option is to use mileage to exchange the magazine. Is that right?
Also, since there is an upcoming flight, can she use miles to get a day pass for EVA lounge?
