Wouldn't the participants (even though not flying) still have to go through the same security restrictions as the flying public? = removing shoes, taking off belts, going through varying types of detection equipment [all very demeaning

--especially if you are only attending a meeting]?
There's no other way to do this, given that attendees at the AC, even if not flying, could interact with other passengers on the secure side of the airport
who are flying.
