However, do stays in Canada count as qualifying stays. I live in Canada and 3 of the 5 planed stays are in Canada with the other 2 stays being in the USA.

But was wondering if anyone had stays outside the USA (ie Canada) count towards this offer. I plan on doing more travel in 2013 and Gold would be nice to have.

but you cannot book through a 3rd party site like hotels.com, expedia.com, ect.

Since I am a little paranoid about stuff in general I thought I would call HHonors and get them to register for me. I called the 1 866 number and explained that I wanted to register for the “Skip to the front of the line” promotion. She asked if I got an email code. I said no and she put me on hold to see what she can do. She came back and said that I needed an email code or promotion code. I explained to here that I was confused and reiterated that I wanted to sign up for the “Skip to the front of the line”, the promotion that gets you Gold Status with 4 nights in 90 days. She again put me on hold. Upon returning, she once again explained to me that I needed a code as this is a targeted promotion. She said I needed to be a MVP Member in order for this promotion to work. I asked how does one become an MVP member, also explaining to her that I do not see an issue in getting my 4 stays in the next 90 days. Her response was that I needed to be targeted and that is something the “Diamond Desk” did based on your stay pattern. Not really having any ammunition to continue my argument I let the conversation end. But, before hanging up I asked if stays in Canada would be included as part of the qualifications if in fact I somehow managed to sign up for the promotion. She assured me that any Hilton world wide stay would qualify.

After hanging up I tried to sign up using the website and managed to enter my HH account number and PIN. I even managed to set my start date and got the following :

However this does not seem to be personalized. I cannot find my account number, name, or any personal information. I also logged into my HH account and cannot find any information that shows I am registered under this promotion.

I just want to make sure I am going to get Gold Status with my next 4 stays.

How did other people sign up for this promotion? Is there proof that you have signed up for this promotion. I am getting paranoid for nothing.
