Got the same call today about a similar itinerary plated on US for Feb 2013 (RGN-PEK-FRA-PHL-YUL). Travelocity specifically says (after I asked the question) that "US Airways requested us to cancel this ticket". Called USAirways and they said "without a doubt, it was Travelocity that requested USAirways to cancel this ticket". I guess I will be filing DOT complaints against both of them. The USAirways rep that I talked to says she is absolutely certain that it was TL that requested the cancelation, in her words "so that they won't be liable for the huge debit memo that they would have gotten from USAirways for the correct fare". She thinks Travelocity is playing dumb right now. We'll see what the DOT thinks. Btw, after I got that call from TL, I checked the status of the reservation on usairways.com and it went from "Canceled" (checked earlier today) to "Refunded" (as of now).
