I am looking for ways to return from Rome Fall '2013 and Luthansa seems like a viable option using my UAL miles. When I looked at the seating map it appears that the Business Class has a 2-3-2 configuration which I don't like. I prefer planes with a 2-2-2 so my spouse and I each have an isle seat with neither of us having to crawl over the other.

Questions:
1) is this seating configuration accurate information (I'm questioning why they would subject anyone to a middle seat in business class) ?

2) Do the business class seats have lay flat seats or the terrible angled seats that are impossible for sleeping ?

I have flown British Air Business class and was spoiled and trying to find a similar product using UAL ff miles.
