I just did this connection last night, MCO-DTW-DCA, with a 33 minute connection. We actually arrive 3 minutes late. Arrived gate 20, left gate 75, took the tram between gates.

It's a rush, but it works if your inbound aircraft is on time. Doing the same thing next Monday except coming in from SFO instead of MCO.
