100% agree. To me its a sad state of society that we get these posts at least 1-2x a week and that it doesnt dawn on people that they should notify the airline when they arent going to show.

My take is that if you were planning on showing up at Grandma's house and you change your plans, you'd call grandma, right? Why is it any different with a business.
