Flew J to BKK on Sunday, also had the preordered reindeer (huge portion), and had same pretty good experience, J full but decent service.
I think the earlier is scheduled to be A330 and the later for A340, A330 has been almost 100% with flat beds, but is not guaranteed, the later departure has also been getting the A330 with flat beds.... A340 do not have flat beds (SIN is always A340). You can check history here

A330 flat bed is similar to Swiss flat beds.
LCYGUY, were you woken up 2,5 hrs before arrival for breakfast? We were and that was totally ridiculous, as the service took 30min and after that we still had 2 hours of flight time left!!
Yes breakfast was served ridiculously early - the only spoiler in an otherwise very good flight
