Thanks margarita girl for reminding me how old I am. Not. I had completely forgotten the word spritzer until I read your post. Earlier this year, the flight attendant served my "neat" johnny walker with ice, so yah, they do struggle with some pretty basic mixology issues.

On the other topic, I just returned to yvr from lhr on saturday. Went over two weeks prior. On the way over, even though there was loads of space (13 or 14 seats), my upgrade didn't clear until 3 days before. All of the seats were full on the flight. On the way back, with 9 seats open, the upgrade didn't clear until 2 days before. On the night before the flight, there were still 5 or 6 seats open, all were filled. I'm pretty sure at least a few of the occupants were AC employees, judging from the "familiarity" they had with the cabin crew.
