i did 3767 BDL-ORD this morning followed by UA1295 ORD-SMF

3767 was a prepackaged snack box cleverly labeled "a.m." containing a very, very sticky granola nut bar, a fig newton like thing, and some "toast" (loosely used term) with jam and "cheese spread". you get the idea.

1295 was lunch (on a 9:50am departure from ORD, IMO should have been snack or breakfast but i digress) which was shoved in front of us before we even leveled off on cruise. choice of "chicken salad" (another loosely used UA catering term) or some kind of chicken wrap. i had the salad, you get the idea again. served w/ fruit salad, roll, and the obligatory post-meal oatmeal raisin cookie. skipped that this time.

service on 3767 was fine. 1295 was a disaster of a "very proud to be pmCO" crew -- couldn't even figure out who the lead FA was as all were equally unprofessional, they all spent most of their time on the flight in the front galley gossiping w/ one another and speculating of how they would spend their 20 hour layover in SMF (I was in 1B with bose headphones on and could still hear most of it). no snack basket passed prearrival which sucked in this case given the noon arrival time and my direct beeline for the office. drink refills few and far between. on a bright note we did arrive 40 minutes ahead of the well padded schedule.
