Using the word "interline" will confuse most CSR's because they don't deal with checked luggage. If you simply ask the question functionally, in other words, "I'm on one ticket and understand that you can check my bag through from EDI" you should do better.

Why it's confusing is beyond me, but I've always had better luck staying away from industry terms and simply describing what I want.
