You don't know that and neither do I. I've personally heard a pax ask if there wasn't 'somewhere more private' and get told 'no, this is it, if you want to fly today' (opt-out grope).

I'm an involuntary medical opt-out. Because I'm physically unable to assume and hold the position for a scan, I get the grope every time and I have NEVER been offered a private grope. I have never seen a sign or a video at the checkpoint advising first-time or infrequent flyers of this option, either.
