I'm not familiar with all of the hotel programs. But Starwood has lots of options around the city. Since it's just a quick overnight I would probably stay as cheaply as I could points-wise. So maybe the aloft on Sukhumvit 11 which is about a year old so should still be nice and fresh. I stayed right after it opened (and construction was on-going still) and there were definitely some kinks that needed to be worked out. But I suspect they have been. Or there is also the Four Points Sheraton on Sukhumvit 15 that seemed to get pretty good marks.

There are millions of places to eat. Since you in town just one night I assume you are looking for Thai food. But there's a really good Italian place very near to the aloft mentioned above if you are into that.
