I'll clue you in on a secret, bloggers know very well that there is a small faction of FT readers that don't like bloggers. It is a very small faction. For most bloggers, our readership is continuing to increase despite your opinion and personal attacks. In fact, I'll venture to say this type of thread and the snarky ness on FT, probably does more to increase blog readership then any other factor.
Readership of the blogs and subsequently blogger income increases because for the most part, the conversation on blogs and in their comments sections are civil, constructive and bypass this personal attack BS. It serves no purpose.
I agree this thread should still be about how to get the referral link the bloggers get, not how to attack bloggers.
I can tell ya'll that I have come to like certain posters and bloggers and do not necessarily enjoy the company of others.
I do like FTG and when I had met him in person he'd been very personable, friendly, upfront and honest, as well as social and humorous but knowledgeable. No 'tude' or pretentious self-centered nature like some people have.
My concurrent opinion is that if someone can find a way to make a living or some substantial income at this stuff then all the power to them! I do not love it when some blog lays out the ins and outs of a gig so clearly that any fool can do it, but that said fool may sadly lack the wisdom to really do it right without messing it up for themselves and the rest of the population, and that said blogger would lay this out just to look as though they invented it or cornered the market on it and not really have the capacity nor care to have it when it comes to making sure said fools dont crumble the deal after it's been widely plastered to the masses. But in my opinion, FTG for one, has not done that, In fact FTG has offered unique and industry savvy advice on all things credit (as he worked in the industry before) and so therefore, I have used his blog to get some CCs.
Like another poster said above in other words, one may visit the bloggers one likes to give hits to those. And I have done this. FTG, MP and FG have gotten CC referrals from me and from people I know, among a few others.
Yeah I would like to figure out if I personally can pull off doing this sort of thing too and sometimes imagine what my blog might even be, but I do think one thing about blogging is that it takes some pretty consistent dedication, and some here may babble but cannot necessarily do that! I may even be one of those people so I may be best to leave it to the bloggers who can pull it off.
It's just a fine line and a game like everything else. But like I keep saying, this thread is about how WE can do what they do, not about what we do not like that they do, right?
