Indeed, this sounds like part of the Disturbing EXP ticketing experience [new EXP agents and mishaps, consolidated] inconveniences caused by the entry of a number of new EXP agents who have not been properly trained or / and are insufficiently experienced and knowledgeable to now what they actually can do.

However - this is also regarding a particular and substantial fare issue for many of u, -UP / "Instant Upgrade" fares, and contains some useful answers. Keeping the thread separate makes it easier for those who experience this mishandling and provides them with some specific answers shared by our knowledgeable members (and maybe there will be more). For that reason, at this point we will let 'er drift, as the truckers say, and keep this thread separate, with cross-links.
