Thanks! I fly entirely too many RJs, MD-80s and MD-83s connecting to widebodies and other airlines' flights. (The MD seats are better for me.)

The older seats with the "wings" headrest that slides up and down (vertically) to adjust to passengers' head placement.

I liked the bin placement, but though I didn't measure the bins I saw some folks with 22" rollaboards having trouble placing them "wheels in". The new side-loaders will be in the 787s, and
perhaps the 777-323ERs? (We can hope this is part of the new 77w / widebody refurbishment coning.)

Back on topic, I think they used 'memory' foam on the seat cushions, because I experienced the same hard/flattened seat too. The sears are also higher, which makes it hard to see out of the window. I do like the overall spacious feel of the interior.
