With time share properties generally no. The concierge desk is a part of sales and if you speak to them be prepared to be offered a tour. if you sign up for promotional stay (I get e-mails from HGVC every so often, then you are obligated to go on the tour)

My last HGVC stay was the Elara in Vegas. I kept hoping to be accosted by sales and I'd prepped my response to "would you like a tour;" it was "can I tell you about satan our lord of darkness?"
