You can use Virgin Miles to book a redemption flight for you and your partner. I have just booked LAX - LHR Upper Class for my partner and me at a cost of 100,000 miles.

The alternative is to spend the required amount on your Virgin CC then get a companion voucher, but you have to buy a full-price seat for self to use the voucher.

You pays your money, you takes your choice I guess.
