Just spent 1 night at the GH Shanghai, booked with points, assigned King Room that I booked no upgrade. Room was fine for 1 night, would have been tight if staying more than that. Bedroom was tiny, despite having long entry foyer. Was given access to Grand Club Lounge but not assigned a room on the Club Floor.

Pros--great views, completely empty spa/pool area on a Friday afternoon. Took a leisurely swim and had a massage. Grand Club is excellent. The views at night are to die for, the service and staff top notch.

Cons--the mattress was so hard I barely slept, it was horrible, good location if you are doing business in Pudong, however, I much preferred the Hyatt on the Bund location in terms of easy access to restaurants, etc that we wanted to go to.
