This is the best SPG property in Mumbai for a tourist. While not central for sightseeing, most destinations are a 20-30 minute cab ride away (traffic permitting). When I checked in, I was upgraded to a Towers level room (one level up from what I had booked), despite the fact that ITC One rooms were available. My room was a bit on the small side, and didn’t have a sofa near the window like the pictures on the website show. Despite that, the room was clean, and the bathroom well-stocked with soft towels. There’s plenty of water pressure, but the water temperature changes every now and then.

Breakfast was included in my rate, and it was okay. There was an egg/omelet station, fruit and cheese, and a small selection of Western and Indian foods. It was adequate, but far from epic. The gym is well furnished, and towels and bottled water are available.

As a Towers guest, there are snacks and drinks from 6-8pm at the Point of View lounge. Snacks included cheese and crackers, mini-sandwiches, small chicken/fish kebabs, spring rolls, and fried potatoes. It was good finger food, but not true Executive Lounge food as you would typically expect. A limited selection of hard liquor is available for free.

I ate dinner in Curries and Kebabs, and it was the best Indian food (especially their chicken and lamb biryanis) I’ve ever had. It was, however, quite expensive – about $20/dish. The dinner buffet (1500++) was also pretty decent and room service proved to be excellent as well.

The staff at this hotel are helpful and competent. I’d return to this place without hesitation if I ever find myself back in Mumbai.
