Does anyone know when the bonus rates of a higher level you earn start. For example, if you fly between the time you earn the higher status, and the time the system notates it, will they retroactively apply the higher bonus? I believe PMUA did, but not sure since the merger.

Wife will hit gold this week with a midcon flight. Two days later, she'll take a short-haul west coast flight, and then be coming back midcon (on US). It is unlikely she'll show as gold on the west coast flight, and will probably have it shown for the return, but potentially not. Will she get the upgraded 50% for the latter flights if her status isn't noted by then?

Similarly, I'll hit plat with a Thai flight on Dec. 31, then be coming back 1/1 from Asia on all UA flights. Obviously, the status won't hit a day later. But will the bonus for the 1/1 flights hit at the gold level, or will the plat level bonus be retroactively applied?

Also, on top of this, will I need to remove/re-add my MP number on future itins where I will be plat, but booked while I was gold, to get plat benefits. Thinking about benefits like CPU upgrade window, fee waivers, etc.
