Quite often when I'm standing in the loo, midstream the seat (which, being a good citizen, I took care to raise first) comes down. And even the slightest roll or yaw of the plane can throw off the "aim" of even the best sharpshooters. Hence the mess that the OP attributes to us males.

So if some of the lavs were equipped with urinals, I believe it would significantly reduce the er, problem.

And I still find it hard to believe, but I see FC pax go into the bathroom fairly frequently in bare feet, or (even worse!) with only their socks on.
