I think a "hot botton" is what happens when your bottom is sore after sitting on it for 10-12 hours, then when you're struggling to stand, the impatient guy behind you jams a cattle prod into it and pushes the button -- so botton + cattle prod button

But if someone calling you a silly name in public disturbs you "extremely," I would respectfully submit it says more about you than the name caller. Typically, a slightly greater level of robustness is needed to function in the world. All that said, if you get yourself out of the aisle more quickly, you can avoid this extremely disturbing trauma to your sensitivies in the future.
Did we read the same OP? I'd have found it extremely disturbing as well. The name calling, as the OP said, is the least of it. As described, the FA seemed unbalanced, with inappropriate speech and laughter. Normally, one can simply walk away and avoid people exhibiting such, but when the person is a FA on one's flight, no. Could someone like that be counted on in an emergency? I'd wonder if it was me.

An interesting question. I can't be sure, since my experience of AA is so heavily biased by EXP treatment.

From the OP's description, it sounds like the FA was having much deeper issues that merely a passenger who didn't stow as rapidly as desired.
