I don't know but I'd like to find out. Some permits issued by the city come at very little cost compared to the revenues they bring in, e.g. permits for shooting television or film productions.

Go to google.com and type in "New York City Marathon" with or without the quotation marks. The first listing you will see will read: "The ING New York City Marathon." Oddly enough, the first URL listed changed since last night when it indeed was the ING one. Hmm.
Time for the City to revisit this arrangement.
