Just a bit of perspective - the flight is showing a 90 minute delay - that's not exactly long in the scheme of things....
There was however one instance where I - along with the rest of the flight - was granted lounge access when the delay presumably was about to trigger F&B vouchers - but it was so late all the catering outlets were closing. It was the last flight out so the only people to "suffer" were those already in the lounge, but it was still far from crowded!
So it does happen, but a 90 minute delay shouldn't warrant it.
