Every time I post a shortlink in my signature I notice in the stats that it gets many clicks from France >1000 in a relatively short period of time and only while the links are live in my signature. Right now the shortlinks link back to Flyertalk pages so perhaps you can see more in your analytics than I can.

I use goo.gl
