Checkin report

Just checked in for a three night award, 36k starpoints. Outside the cancellation window my stay was upgraded to Deluxe Oceanfront, but after the cancellation window passed it was downgraded to Resort Room.

I mentioned this to the front desk and he asked to see the email which I pulled up on my phone. He then offered a double on the fourth floor or a king on the ground floor, both in bldg 6, as requested. We took the ground floor king. Room is fine but the whole experience seemed weird.
