This weekend, I have a flight from A->B->C. A & B are domestic, C is international. All legs are on UA, and all have been upgraded using a GPU. Now I'd like my cake and eat at too. Note: I'm not trying to "preserve" my GPU, I want it used up.

My evil plan is to check in, get past security, find a kiosk, and change my FF# from UA to Aegean for all three segments. I'm doing this to obtain Aegean Gold, and to delay the 1k renewal date.

However, I'm worried about losing all of my upgrades, endangering the upgrades on the return flight, etc. Has anyone had experience with this?
