I'm not in China now and it may be awhile before I'm back to check this out, but if anybody is in Terminal 2, please doublecheck on the first floor and see if there is a satellite train ticket office actually operational. I think hours are supposed to be 07:00-24:00 daily. It may be opposite door #9 and next to a Currency Exchange booth. If you speak Chinese, ask if they are using the same standard purchase rules as elsewhere--10 days in advance of departure for counter sales. I am not expecting an English service window there, but worth asking about.
