If you don't travel a ton, concentrate on one hotel chain and do your best to stay in it as often as possible. And, I suggest looking outside of Cdn-only chains as my colleagues found Delta/Fairmont doesn't do squat when they're going to Europe. (Fairmont having an extremely limited scope of int'l props.)
