IMO, AE has the worst redemption for hotels. Gift card redemption amounts are terrible, also extremely limited.

I've seen an Airport Westin(I think ) that went for 30k AE miles when their rate was $99 lol.. Even Airmiles offers better hotel gift card value than AE.
