We didn't take the bus in for this very reason (well, it was my wife's first time, though I'd been, and we had a baby) but if you are experienced at navigating any urban public transportation system, you won't have trouble getting around, even if you've never been. And Roissybus to PHV really is pretty straightforward compared to other systems.
