If there are budgeting issues, you also need to factor in the cost of the commuting from somewhere like Reading, which is not inconsiderable.

But yes, as trueblu says, we'd ideally need some more information: e.g. budget, whether you have children, whether a garden is an essential, whether you would be happy in a flat/apartment rather than a house, and so on.

Also, Edgware Road itself runs for 10 or 15 miles, from Marble Arch up to Edgware. (Just to add a bit of historical colour: Edgware Road is part of the ancient Roman road known as Watling Street - hence its almost completely straight path, since the Romans built straight roads.) Anyway, I presume that you mean that your office would be in the part of Edgware Road between Marble Arch and the Paddington area - i.e. the W2 postcode area, basically (and the area near Edgware Road Underground station). This too obviously makes a big difference about where you might live.
