3CForme, I would have expected more from you. I was writing proposed not booked? I just put in SAT to TXL for arbitrary dates March, 9th and 7 days. The first flight SHOWN, despite being direct to MSP is an astonishing 34hrs, the second is feeding you an E175 with 18hrs layover, the 3rd is on AF in W taking an astonishing 37 hours. The forth is only allowing 55m to change the plane in MSP ... you get the picture. The MEM to AMS was a sometimes showing and an appreciated option. Apart from the AF-operated flight, not a single ATL connection comes up.

Of course a knowledgeable frequent flyer sees all warnings signs. A person who is just selecting a flight from the option presented is pretty much left alone. Naturally any expert with a little sense left is going the extra mile and books by multi city search. However, many tiny travel departments just select from what's offered and do not play the system. So is mine. Sometimes they come up with crazy itins and swear that's the best of what was DL had offered.

It is going through MEM that leaves you open to the CR200 possibility -- and that is a death sentence.

Sorry to steal all of your drama with the facts.
I take 1.4 hours in a CR2 over 3-4 hrs in a CR9 any day. If that also means one less connection, no questions asked. The seat in a CR9 is nice? On what planet? The single seats with a joke of overhead or the doubles are equally bad. Those planes are a sorry excuse especially regarding gate checking Are you one of the persons who believes in a marketing gag such as premium refreshments (a.k.a snack basket). Just because the seat is slightly bigger does not make it premium and definitely not "nice".

At least you were right with no CRJ's going to ATL, I mixed up the JFK direct with ATL, my fault. Since the cancellation of TXLJFK, I don't frequently travel through JFK anymore and mistook that for ATL. Surely you can understand that as your statement regarding 7 dailies is equally flawed.

And to the question about why to connect in ATL? Good one. Answer yourself whether you're a heavy international traveller or not. I was on SAT-HND mid September and my only option that was SELECTABLE and BOOKABLE was SAT-ATL-DTW-HND. At least the staff in DTW and on Twitter were able to SDC me on a direct on the way back.

So hush you muppet. Apart from my mix up with a JFK CRJ (correctly spotted) I don't see any reason to call reality BS. I know that there are direct flights to DTW, heck I have been on countless but this does not change the fact that often the first page of options on DL.com is only showing you 1-stops via ATL. You cannot make up for your lack of facts and your questioning of why pax only select what's selectable by just being more aggressive in our posts.
