I did because I thought of a wrong point posting, but I was later on informed this amount (rate in my opinion, package for the hotel) is defined as package by the hotel* and the hotel has the right to pass only the room only amount.

The CSR was very quick, professional and supportive; he was one of the best persons in any CS I interacted with .

* I'm part of a group, a lot of Plat and a lot of no status persons, staying for quite a while in that location so an ad hoc rate was arranged. So a Plat and a no status person pay the same amount irrespective if the breakfast/internet connection is used or not.
This sounds like when the special rate was negotiated, someone could have asked for full points earning but failed to do so, just as they apparently didn't ask for a lower rate for Plats who would get free internet anyway. In some ways, I guess you're lucky that this unpublished rate earns points/nights at all
